The rear pitman arms hold the rear end together. If they are worn, the quick steering movements are delayed by the loosness in the rear. New ones make a significant, small difference in handling.

Did you recharge the batteries before installing them? If so, there may be problems with the board. The first time I replaced batteries, a wire reset did not work, but a reset tool reset did. I have no explanation why.
