TPS Plug replacement?? (archive)

Has anyone had any experience in replacing the plug end on the throttle position sensor??
Mine was all wacked out of shape when I got the car this summer and i would like to put a new end on to eliminate the splices I have now.
I think I may have to get a plug with a piece of cable and somehow join the two thru another fitting.
Any ideas??
