: As many of you have read, i have decided to buy the 86 635CSi. I'm going to took at it again this Sunday and make the final decision. As you may have read, the rear (from the C-pillar to the back) needs to be repainted. I was wondering how much this would cost. Also, i need a new CSi badge as well and i don't know where to find one.

Dan

I recall that you live in the NYC area from one of your posts. While I cannot tell you how much it will be to paint the car without seeing it, I would suggest the following shop on Long Island--I know it might be a hike but trust me these guys will make the car look like it was never repainted. The name of the place is Classic Auto Body, Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead. They are only about a 35 minute ride from the city. I do not have the phone number handy, but they are listed. Ask for John. Tell him that they repaired a friend's brand new white Honda Prelude, and a green 92 735i (my brother in law's). Worth the travel time, trust me.
Good luck
