Blown Head gasket. Is there hope for the engine? (archive)

About 2 yrs. ago my parents' 633 CSI overheated, started running rough, and had it towed home. The gas and oil did indeed mix. The oil was immediately changed and it has been sitting since. Is there any hope for engine? If the head cracked can it be repaired?
