Definitely change the oil first. Many many years ago, my (now ex-) wife was the primary driver of our 1969 2000 sedan; I walked to grad school. One day the car quit. Wouldn't start, backfired through the carb. I thought it was the head. We bought a new car, and the 2000 sat til spring. I pulled the head, but nothing was wrong with it. Changed the oil, cleaned the plugs, and vrooom, it starts right up and runs fine. Turns out she had driven it so much without changing the oil, and the oil in it had thinned to the point that it was leaking past the rings, fouling the plugs. New oil, no problem. The car lasted another two years (longer than she did). HTH
: About 2 yrs. ago my parents' 633 CSI overheated, started running rough, and had it towed home. The gas and oil did indeed mix. The oil was immediately changed and it has been sitting since. Is there any hope for engine? If the head cracked can it be repaired?
