I have a 79 633 CSI auto. with 151K, and a badly blown head gasket. I can replace the head gasket and do the work myself, or I can buy an 84 745 engine with 100k on it from a local wrecker for about $650...Will the 745 engine drop right in? Do I need to change the ecu, electrical connections, etc? Does this project even make sense?
(P.S. the 745 engine is still in the care, and we can run it and check the compression)
