Help! I had a flex joint fail on the freeway at 60 MPH. The driveshaft smacked the shifting mechanism and bent the selector shaft coming out of the transmission above the output shaft as well as completely destroying the shifter mounting bracket. I intend to replace some of the pieces with after market "short shifter" parts and I can get the rest from the dealer, but what do I do about the bent selector shaft? I just had the trans rebuilt 6 months ago, so I hate to have it torn down again. Anybody out there had any experience with bending the selector shaft? It's about 5 degrees off (looks like about .25" at the end of the shaft.
