I have replaced the drivers side seal on my six; it is not too hard if you have good directions. My guess is it would be well neigh impossible if you don't know the secret. However, before you worry about that, do you really need to replace it? Yes, they are expensive - dealer list is $350 per side (I got mine at VOB BMW for $255); however, mine wasn't just compressed, it was torn. Before you replace it, try adjusting the window a;ignment to see if it will fit better. There is an excellent write-up on how to do this at http://web2.airmail.net/grills/b_c_g_FAQ/Body_Interior.html#anchor24982937.
: Has anyone had experience replacing the rubber window/door seals (gaskets) for the 6 series. I ahve heard thet the parts are expensive. Also heard thet they are a bear to install. I heve annoying wind whistling and these seals appear to have compressed to the point that wind enters around windows. Any help would be appreciated.
