Patrick, I had a hole there in my '84 Euro 635CSi. The previous owner had some cheap 6X9s. At first I used some Boston Acoustics 6X9s the RM9's. They sounded great. I later replaced them with MB Quart QM218.61 seperates. They sounded even better. The tweeters could hardly be heard, but I had the MB Quart 3way in the front, so those tweeters were sufficient.

The hole was cut in the vertical panel just under the rear seats. The 6x9s were almost perfect there. For the 6.5's I mounted them on a 1/2" plywood, since the 6x9 hole was too big. The crossovers also fit (both on the pass side.

: I installed a system in my '82 633csi, but I noticed it has no mount for the rears. I want to install 6x9's, but all that is under the cover is an empty "basket" type area, how do I mount them. Do I have to cut a hole in the sheet metal. Thank you

: -Patrick
