: The filter goes in the area where the factory airbox was, once it has been removed. K&N will supply the necessary brackets and hardware. Just be careful around the a/c lines because it may tend to rub on them.

Also depends on the type of filter. A stock K&N filter will fit in the factory airbox. The filtercharger kit will replace the airbox.
