: I just experienced a wierd problem taking the car out this weekend. Driving along just fine when all of a sudden, a quick sputter as if all power was lost for an instant. Did not reoccur until tonite while accelerating in 2nd gear. A brief, BLAH!!, and then it kept on running. I did not notice any lights go out as I was driving in the night, just seemed to be ignition. Anyone have any thoughts???
: TIA

I have the same problem with my high mileage 635. In my case the Ignition switch is worn and now and then looses contact. The power to the fuel injection system comes off this switch so the lights stay on just the ignition dies.

It happened to me the other night and I wiggled the key and I started running again. You can replace just the switch without changing the tumbler for the key.

John
