If you use the car as a daily driver I would strongly suggest going with 16", which are closest to the TRX rims that you are replacing. The stock suspension on the M635 is pretty stiff...going to 17" would probably beat you up pretty good on anything but the smoothest road.

I have 16" Oz Forzas (the original Forza design) on my M635 with Dunlop SP7000's 225's in front, 245's in back. If you're looking to depart from the original/traditional crossspoke look, I would definitely check out the Forzas. They have a BMW look to them while being a little more aggressive than the crosspokes.

: I just purchased a very clean 85 m635 from original owner importer w/all records. Still has TRX tires and original silver 3 pc BBS rims. I'd like to swap the wheels and tires, do I go 17 or 18" and which width? Any tire choice that is a good compromise dry/wet. Car will never see snow. Interested to see what has been successful.
