I have a B&B setup on my '86 635 ,along with a free flow cat, and the sound is not objectionable, at all. The previous owner installed the system and sent it back to B&B to have it reworked because of noise. They did something, I have the original paperwork, but I don't know what.
I recently installed a B&B setup on my son's '86 535 and we both fell that the sound is good and comparable to the 6's setup. Maybe they toned down their systems because of all the bad press.
