: I just purchased a very clean 85 m635 from original owner importer w/all records. Still has TRX tires and original silver 3 pc BBS rims. I'd like to swap the wheels and tires, do I go 17 or 18" and which width? Any tire choice that is a good compromise dry/wet. Car will never see snow. Interested to see what has been successful.

Well Gentlemen all who say nay to 17' i say don't knock them until you try them. I agree how ever they should be light weight. I have a 85 635csi which i have 17' MSW and Yokohama Tires from the Tire Rack. These guys really take the time to get you what you want. Their product knowledge is second to none. I went w/a grey this time around, it was just the touch the car needed, added cornering you would not believe, and took nothing from the ride, not to mention the eye appeal that a 15'or a 16'just can't duplicate.
