I was not aware BMW NA replaced the leather! I will get mine redone asap! The L6 did come in standard dash form, however. My original L6 was purchased NEW without the leather dash. I am not sure about my current L6, though.

As for the 88/89 models, I am almost CERTAIN that NONE were actually badged as such. BMW NA could have rebadged these units in the US upon import, however, to please customers. If the original title states that the 88/89 is an L635csi, it would certainly be a hugely collectible vehicle. If you find one, I would be willing to pay TOP dollar. As for the cat that posted earlier, I would enjoy a few picture of his car. My bet is the decklid says "635csi." Helmut
