Hi folks,
I may pick up my first BMW this week. Its an '87 M6 with 72,000 miles. The car is near perfect with the exception of the rear right window switch and some very minor paint flaws (which will buff out nicely). Everything on the interior is leather except the dash. Everything works. It has an extra fancy stereo too.
My boss is an enthusiast with a showroom condition 2002tii and knows what he's talking about with Bimmers. His long time mechanic is selling the car for one of his customers who is traveling for an extended period of time.
Concern: The car got some bad fuel which caused a fair amount of damage. Everything that moves fuel was replaced ...lines,pumps, injectors...everything. The car runs like new. The interior shows a little normal wear but no tears or scratches. Its black w/ really clean gray interior. Its super fast, tight, solid, and rattle free.
The seller is in the $19k range but the kelly blue book is $14.9k.
What do you all think??
Any advice on the price and/or the potential fuel related future problems would be much appreciated.
TIA,
Tom
