I have an 85 635CSi and had the same problems with those damn seat hinge covers, so I went to a local auto parts store (Pep Boys), and I purchased a couple of sets of the plastic door lock handles (the little plastic things that you pull up or push down on to lock your doors...used in older American cars). Anyway, I cut them down to size and with a a hacksaw, cut a groove on the top surface so I could use a screw driver to install them on the seats. Worked like a charm, and I have never touched them since.

: I just bought an 86 635CSi and the owner gave me the coveres separately. He just kept them in the trunk because he couldn't keep them on (he had two kids always getting in the back). I don't have the nuts, but i don't intend to put them on. They aren't really that important.
