635 Turn signal malfunction (archive)

My turn signals work but have stopped self cancelling. Prior to:

A. Removing instrument pod & replacing all instruments but tach with those from 528

B. Removing steering wheel to access inst. pod

-The self cancllation worked fine. Any ideas out there? Did I mess something up or is it coincidence? I have removed inst. pod, wheel, etc. several times with no problems.
