BlackForest Werkshop located on 5th street in downtown does alot of mainstream work. They are pretty good. A friend of mine dropped over $17K of work with them on her US built E28 535i. They aren't the cheapest, but they have a good reputation.

Terry Sayther Automotive down in South AUSTIN, drives an E30 325i TOURING. He's got a very good reputation in the BMWCCA frat. Terry's a BMWCCA tech advisor that people can call over the phone to ask questions about. I have no experiences w/ Terry, but if I were to need auto work, I would give him some of the business. You should give him a call.

Go to John Roberts BMW for parts ONLY. Their mechanics are rookies and are only working there for on-the-job experience.

: I am looking for a mechanic in Austin, TX that knows the 6 Series. I have a 85 635csi Euro and am nervous about handing my keys over to the wrong mechanic. Your referrals would be greatly appreciated.
