I got realy motivated today and pulled my instrument pod out with the intention of replacing the batteries.

It took about 20 minutes to get it out of the car, yes you can do it without removing the steering wheel, and then I frooze!

Once you get the instruments out and apart you get to a point where you have to remove the two ribbon cables running from the SI board to the gauges! Mine were so brittle that they cracked when you moved them. I was sure that I was going to break the ribbon cables trying to unhook them.

To make a long story short...am I being overly cautious or is this a real possiblity.

Also, is there anyone out there in computer land who I can ship the gauges to and they will replace the batteries?

Let me know what you guys think!

John
