I dont see any problem if you are willing and able to wire all electrical do dads yourself. Also when I put a later dash in my 85 M635 I had to modify the air ducts that are attached to the dash (took the ones out of the old dash and put them in th new one). let me know about your interior I am looking for a few parts for mine.
