If the width of the new wheels is the same as the old ones, then you would keep the offset the same (although different tires may sometimes make a differnce when you are close to the limit, since different brands of tires of the same size are not always the same size!). However, you are planning on changing the width of your wheels by about an inch; therefore, the offset should change. I replaced the TRX wheels on my 88 635 with a set of 16X8 wheels, et11, and my Dunlop SP8000 225/50ZR16's fit fine.

: According to what I know, the original offset is 20mm, and I thought that same offset should be kept if changing the wheel width, (so half of the width increase is kept by each side of the wheel). Unfortunately at Tire Rack, the say that what I have just explained doesn’t have to be necessarily that way, and that a setup like that may not work in certain cars. The question is if I should keep with the 20mm offset when I buy the new 16x7.5in wheels, or I should change it?
: I have chosen Mille Miglia MM11(16x7.5) and Dunlop Sport8000 (225/50ZR16) for the replacement. Does anybody have these ones on their 635s? How did they work? How much offset? Thank you.
