Oil Filter anti-drainback Valve (archive)

Does anyone know if the M30 engines (3.0, 3.2/3.3, 3.5) incorporate an anti-drainback check valve in the oil system (possibly in the oil filter housing)?

I find that my oil filter canister is being siphoned halfway empty when the car sits a while, resulting in a very slow-to-go-out oil pressure warning light since the oil filter has to be refilled before oil pressure is restored.

This is happening on my 535 as well as my 633, and I suspect on other e23, e24, e28 cars that I see with "slow" oil pressure (not due to internal engine wear).
