I, too, saw this car in e-bay and was intrigued at the possibilities.

Sure you can swap these engines without a hitch! Just don't tell your EPA/DOT as legally one cannot install an older engine into a newer car for emmission reasons. In your case, I am sure the emmissions would not change, but why fool with the state or the Feds by telling them when the visual inspection would never show it.
