: Hello, I recently purchased a euro m6, and it is STRONG. I have a problem, however. Upon starting the car, it idles fine when cold. After 30 seconds or so, it goes into a "vrum vrum vrum vrum" oscillation. I also notice this when I let off of the gas at speed, and the engine is not "under load." Give it a bit o' gas, and it is smooth again. This is troublesome when coasting at 45 in traffic, as I must give it gas to smooth it out, and then I go too fast! Any help will be appreciated.

I had a simular problem with my e28 it turned out to be a bad temp sensor wire. Check all of these also for good measure. bmw engines idle bad if you leave the oil fill cap loose or the dipstick out a bit. check all you rubber bellows make sure they are in good condition. your best bet is to catch it in the act and fiddle around under the hood taking note if any of your fiddlings change its condition.
