: Hello gentlemen. I have 2 sixers. One is an US model 1981 633 and the other is a 1982 635csi. I have a couple of questions. What is the horsepower rating on each of them and what is the rear end ration on each? The 633 is a 5 speed and the 635 is an automatic. I am selling the 633 in favor of keeping the 635 (even though I prefer the 5 speed trans). The 635 seems to have more power in spite of the auto trans (zf-3).
-------------------------------------------------
U.S. 633: 181 hp @6000rpm
Euro 635: 218 hp @5200 (w/ 20% more torque)

Both probably have 3.45 or 3.25 (3.07 optional) rear end ratio.

My book says 3.45 for US 633, and 3.25 for the US 635, but my '84 633 turns fewer revs than a friend's '86 US 635 (2000@60 mph vs. 2150 @ 60mph) so I think mine has the 3.25 and his the 3.45.
