no cats on my m6 euro, is that normal? (archive)

my euro m6 has no cats, i found out today. is that normal? the old owner tack welded a set of baffles in the tail pipes to quiet the car, is that bad? If I take em out, will i need to adjust the engine, or will this improve the oscillation in my other post below? Thanks!
