There is another thing that may be happening apart from the ones quoted by Darron. You must check the Bosh Idle Valve, which bypasses the throttle butterflies. When engine is idling, the butterflies are completely closed and this electric valve regulates the air entering the engine, constantly being adjusted by the computer. If this valve is not working correctly, (ie. is locked in “zero air” position) the engine speed will go down to a certain speed where is about to stop (400 rpm), then the computer decide to accelerate by itself up to 1500rpn or so, in order to avioid it. And as the throttle butterflies are closed, it cuts the injection, leaving the valve to control the idle speed again, but remember is not working, so engine speed goes down and cycle starts again. That’s probably your “vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom.” I once had that syntomatology, in my euro 635 csi, and believe it or not solved it with a little hit to the valve, problably relieving what was obstructing its inside self movement, and ending the “vroom” cycle. Hope it helps. Happy New Year.
: Hello, I recently purchased a euro m6, and it is STRONG. I have a problem, however. Upon starting the car, it idles fine when cold. After 30 seconds or so, it goes into a "vrum vrum vrum vrum" oscillation. I also notice this when I let off of the gas at speed, and the engine is not "under load." Give it a bit o' gas, and it is smooth again. This is troublesome when coasting at 45 in traffic, as I must give it gas to smooth it out, and then I go too fast! Any help will be appreciated.
