I have a 87 635csi.
When I hit a puddle in the rain(sometimes even a small
one) the car idles rough then stalls when I come to street lights. I replaced the exhaust and the mechanic said your car is running too rich and your cat has burned out. I took it to BMW and they said replace the air flow meter. I did that. Thinking the problem was gone (I still need a CAT). The car stalled in the rain again. Tried starting it and it immediatley shut off again. I disconnected the o2 sensor and the car idle terribly but started an got me home. It shakes violently at stop lights with 02 disconnected but once I re-attatch it,it stalls again. After a few dry days the car runs fine. But its possible that we might get rain again in New England. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
