Leaking injectors? Not the cold start.
: My 1985 635Csi has a starting problem when the engine is not cold enough to activate the cold start valve. When the temp drops in the 30 - 40 range, the car start on the first crack. However, when it is warmer; 60's or warm engine, it starts and missing a second or two with puffs of black smoke and then runs fine. If I stop the engine and restart it cranks fine. If I wait more than 15 minutes, it misses with puffs of black smoke and then runs fine. Can anyone help. The cold start valve has been replaced, regulator is ok, check valve replaced.
