What RPMs are comfortable for our M6's???? (archive)

Hi folks,

I picked up my 87 M6 a couple months ago and am trying to learn the proper way to drive it. I've been driving normally at about 2500-3000 rpm around town. When I jump on it I take it no higher then 6000. I now hear the car is made to run between 4000 and 6000 rpm.

What range do you M6 veterans drive drive yours in??

Also, did having installed a Dinan chip change my redline?
