: Hi folks,

: I picked up my 87 M6 a couple months ago and am trying to learn the proper way to drive it. I've been driving normally at about 2500-3000 rpm around town. When I jump on it I take it no higher then 6000. I now hear the car is made to run between 4000 and 6000 rpm.

: What range do you M6 veterans drive drive yours in??

: Also, did having installed a Dinan chip change my redline?

: TIA,

: Tom

I find that the S38 engine like to be above 3000 for any torque. I usually drive around town below 4000. Also have the Dinan chip and yes, the red line is raised to 7200 (on the version I have).
