: : : Hi all!
: : : Any tips on getting a bit more performance sound from my M6. I have removed the resinator and it is still too quiet with the stock muffler???
: :
: : Believe it or not, I just had a system fabricated by Midas using a new line of Magna Flow stainless free flow mufflers. It took a bit of experimenting before I was satisfied. I tried a magna flow without a resonator and it was too loud. We ended up replacing the resonator with a free flow unit. Also had to swap tip several times. It is amazing what a difference the tip makes in the sound. You will have to find a shop that is willing to work on it but it can be done. Total cost $550; including cat coverter, resonator and rear muffler.
: Is there a formula you ended up with that can be duplicated. What sound level did you end up with and at what speed/RPM does it resonate the loudest at? (cruse) Maybe my Midas can talk to your Midas?

Resonates approx. 2200 RPM. Hardly audible between 3 - 5, and starts to become audible at 5500 and above. Not too loud but can be heard. I can't compare to any other systems because I have not heard them. System is not raspy. I am putting a shorter Magna Flow resonator on next week and will post the muffer part number on the forum. The pipes will obviously have to be fabricated. I am in Florida where rust is not a problem and they are using aluminized steel for the piping.
