disconnecting the battery, for long term storage, will help if you have an electrical short or a battery drain. If you suspect this, the best thing to do IMHO, is get an ammeter (under 10$ at a parts store) and stick it between the battery cable and the post (after you've disconnected it).. Making sure that you have all electrical off (no dome lights, radio etc) you should have 0.0 amps running through the ammeter. If not, somethings draining your battery. The trick to finding what it is can lie in removing one fuse at a time, and checking the ammeter.. to isolate the circuit the drain is in.. Good luck.. hope that wasn't just babble..
