: didnt get the lower crossmember, but the tranny has two different set of mounting brackets,on the side, and the one near the tailshaft like the original, i figured id use this one. About the driveline, could i just get the section closest to the tranny or do I need the full thing?

I'd use the correct 5 speed lower crossmember. You may find that the 4spd crossmember is too wide to fit the track on the car since the 5 speed transmission is longer than the old 4 speed.

AS for the driveshaft. Get the whole thing, it's much easier. I'm not sure you could switch the front sections between the 4 & 5 speed driveline and it would still be the right length? I've never bothered to play that much with them. It's soo easy to just swap the whole thing out.
