I have a strange symptom that has been observed on two different cars(E30 and E24). I 'll try to describe the problem.

E30 1987 325isA- brake lining sensor light flashes on, then off when you close the drivers door. Sensors wires at the brake caliper have checked OK using a continuity tester. Also the light flashes on-off when you go over a bump.

E24 1986 635csiA- brake lining sensor light flashes briefly when going over a bump. This car has had the sensor wires replaced when the last brake job was done.

I was hoping for a simple solution before tracing wires back to the instrument panel. All other gauges and lights work fine in both instrument clusters.

Thanx
