Euro version v. American version (archive)

I was hoping someone could explain the difference between these models for me. Is a European 635 faster and more powerful than an American 635? I am thinking about purchasing a 635 and my experience has been that the European versions are faster. Is the European version more expensive or difficult to repair? Are parts harder to get? What is the book value of a Euro v. an American? I would greatly appreciate any comments or personal experiences. Thanks.
