:I have a 84 633csi that I purchsed 12/99. My fan clutch pulley and the hose that connects to the bottom of the thermostat housing are very close! about a 1/4 of an inch or less to be exact! when the hose swells, slightly, it touches the pulley and wears away till it eventually gets a hole then it needs to be replaced. can somebody take a look at their car and tell me how much clearance you have between your components. i had a 78 633csi euro that didnt have this problem and my thought is that either one or both of these components have been replace with the wrong size.
