INSTRUMENT TROUBLE AGAIN--$200 at Dealer!!! (archive)

My dad took my 86 635CSiA to the dealer today. They said that the whole circut board for the instruments must be replaced to get my tach, temp, and fuel gauges to work. They were quoting $250+. Should this be done?
