: I am searching to purchase a 635csi (5 spd.) and so far have been focusing my search on '87 - '89. I have a few questions that might help me differentiate the features by year:

: > '87=3430cc @ 182 bhp / '88-89 =3430cc @ 208 bhp

Regarding wheels: My '89 came standard with
220/55VR390. I usually drive BBS 225/50ZR16's.
I recommend this since the overall wheel diam.
is virtually identical: 2*(225*.50)+16*2.54 =
= 2*(220*.55)+390 within less than half a mili-
meter.

With all souped up options my car is fast all
around. Warning tri-flo exhaust is very loud.

You will want to get rid of the self-leveling
stuff. Cost in parts to get back to ground
zero is ~$150 plus time.

: > Did all '88-89 use painted bumper trim to match body?
: >Did all 635csi come standard with "comfort" seats?
: >What year/model variants of 635 use "sport" seats

: Based on these differences, is one year considered "better" than others?
:
: Is the hp difference between '87 and '88-'89 noticably different in terms of drivability?

: Thanks,

: Jonathan
