Karl, I put them on my regular-spec 635 and the performance is a great value. No more braking shimmy, too.

: If you already have the M front brakes, just put on a set of front rotors from E32 7series cars. This will be lot cheaper than M rotors, and will eliminate the warping problem due to improper venting you get with M rotors with those holes in the rotor hat. Try rebuilding the M calipers first, if I were you. Rebuild kits can be had for very little money (like in the order of $20) Also, get yourself a set of E34 540/M5 rear calipers (E32 740 will work also... E34 750 will be ok but has to be after build date of 1/90: info courtesy of Rod Moore/BCG) if you still have stock E24 rear calipers. These take 300x20mm vented rear rotors and will give you better stopping power. I got my pair for $130, used.

: If $$$$ is not an issue, check out the "Big Brake" upgrade at www.ultimategarage.com, those are some serious brakes!!
