That is a classic symptom of an in-tank pump failure. Main pump has to work harder to pump the fuel to get up to correct pressure. It can do it but it'll buzz and occasionally cuts out, especially when/if you try to accelerate with less than 1/4 tank full of gas. Replace the in-tank aux-fuel pump ($80~90). Besure to get the required gaskets (2 types) for this job when you get your new pump. You may want to do this soon, you are putting extra load on your main pump, which is a bit more expensive to R&R than the in-tank pump.
