I've also met a guy on L.I. that had an official B7 Alpina and the easiest way to tell is the seats front and back all have the tell-tale embroidery covering them! No mistaking them and I HIGHLY doubt someone would add Alpina goodies and go as far as to do the interior as well, the apolstiery from Alpina is very expensive.
