I also have an 88 635 and I chose to eliminate the self leveling suspension. Bekkers imports in Atlanta sells a kit for $500 which includes everything you need including Boge Turbo Gas shocks to eliminate the troublesome self leveling suspension. All I can tell you is there are varying opinions on this matter and I chose to eliminate mine. It was a great choice. The back end is so smooth now. Email me if you have any questions.
