Good question. First you have to figure out what you want out of the car. If you want to refresh it & the pump is still in good working order, then by all means, don't swap it for a conventional system. The pressure accumulators are a cinch to replace, and cost me about $120 each. I understand the shocks can be had for a little more, if you need them ( and the only reason that would cause me to change mine would be a leak, which I have no evidence of --- the hydraulics do all the work). If you want to really run it & can't possibly live without those coil-over Bilsteins, then I say go for it. But if you just want to lower it a bit, it can be done without going to conventional. Check out Korman... Also check out the Big Coupe Groupe. Don Smidek has a great troubleshooting guide, and even coached me through it. Saved me some bucks & made my baby run like new again...
