Having just bought a 1988 M6, I have a few things to ask: This was originally a car delivered to Canada though it is a US spec car (engine, etc). One thing different is that the back seat does NOT have the separating cooler/air conditioner. It has a fold-down arm rest (much like my E-34 5 series). It also has a 3 spoke steering wheel with no airbag and a dual speed (meaning large MPH numbers and small KPH numbers) speedometer. It does have ABS, etc. and was made 10/87 based on the door panel. Anyone else with this type of back seat- or was this a Canadian only option. How about the airbag, was this an option only or standard on all US delivery M6's in '88.
The one problem I have is getting the computer to switch from metric to english. The little reset button does not make the change the owners manual says it should- is the computer perhaps needing to be replaced? It works fine, just all in metric- I'm way too old to start thinking in metric this late in my life. Thanks for any advice.
