Now, i do not know a lot about this, but a 5sp Auto from a different car would not match the engine correctly- or that is my guess anyways. I've heard of swaps between auto/manuals in the 5/6 series range- but they have the same engine. I cannot answer your question fully, but if you're gonna go to a 5sp, why not go to the stick instead. Also- i don't know whats wrong w/ the ZF 4sp, i like mine.
