16" or 17" wheels ?? Your experiences.. (archive)

Hi all,
It is time for the 390's to go on my 1989 E24. Should I go with 16 in or 17 in rims?? My friend with a 633 put 16 in rims on his and is very happy, but my other friend put 17 in rims on his M6. I was wondering what the pros and cons are with each one and what you recommed. I am going to put the MM11 rims on my car, but what size? I use it as a daily driver.
