: A typical problem easily solved. Just push the 'set' button with a pencil and at the same time hit the 'average mph' button. This combination will change the display to 'English' units or back to metric.

Thanks for the advice, however it does not work. I have tried having the ignition key in position 1,2 or engine running. I have tried pushing both the avg mpg and reset button at the same time, one first then the other, all other permutations. No luck. I am thinking that since this was a US spec car but delivered to Canada that maybe the computer can only be set to metric? Seems expensive for BMW to do that- either that or I have a bad computer and need to replace.
Got no response on having no rear console in my M6- just a back seat with folding arm rest. Still wonder if this is maybe standard for Canada- is this like Euro M635csi? Any ideas?
