In Reply to: restoring leater seats/NEATSFOOT OIL? posted by Adam on March 25, 2000 at 14:36:15:

I started with 5 or so coats of Lexol leather conditioner on my recently-acquired M635 buffalo leather (previously abused and lacuered to a shiny stiffness). The Lexol could barely penetrate the surface - I was ready to try neatsfoot but found leatherique. They sell a heavy-duty oil conditioner that soaks in well. After 3 or 4 coats of leatherique, my seats are starting to feel soft again. And even the original black dye is reappearing again. I don't know if it's the best, but it has done a decent job for me...
